Shabbat & Feast Day Services
Our Shabbat Services are held every Saturday at 12:30pm Eastern Time at 1510 Willow Lawn Drive, Suite 100, Richmond, VA in the Women's Business Center. Our services are preceded by Training at 10am and Oneg (fellowship over a meal) at 12noon (except on 4th Saturdays). During our Shabbat and Feast Day Services, we have worship, renewal of our covenant with God, personal and private prayer with elders, Biblical insight, prophetic revelation and a timely sermon!
Once per month, we host Coffeehouse Peace Talks in lieu of our Shabbat Services for fellowship over a meal in a casual atmosphere. We engage in an open discussion to explore the truth about God, the truth about ourselves, and the truth He expresses through this congregation, with a focus on how these truths lead to reconciliation and healing within our community.
Our Shabbat Services, Feast Day Services and Coffeehouse Peace Talks are always free and open to everyone. These live services are also facilitated online via Zoom for those out of the area or ill. Bible Study
Congregation Or Shalom hosts live weekly Bible studies called "Messianic Midrash" led by Rebbetzin Markita Brooks on Wednesdays at 7pm Eastern Time at 1510 Willow Lawn Drive, Suite 100, Richmond, VA in the Women's Business Center.
"Midrash" means "textual interpretation". Historically, a midrash has always been a Jewish mode of interpretation of Holy Scriptures, usually by a rabbi, that reveals contextual meaning as well as deeper meaning from the words and even letters of a sacred text. Hence, our Messianic Midrash is a Holy Spirit-led study of the entire Bible (from Genesis to Revelation) to reveal divine interpretation and life application for believers in Messiah Yeshua.
The live Bible studies are broadcast to share with our larger congregation across the nation. Questions are answered during the live Bible studies for those in-person and on Zoom.
